February 2015 challenge

Premise
(suggested by John, K3WWP):

Make at least five names of European countries using only stations from that country. That is make FRANCE using only stations from France, and so on. You may choose from the (corrected!) list below of the ten most worked countries in the EU Challenge:

Germany, Russia, Italy, England, France, U(k)raine, Spain, Hungar(y), Poland, Sweden

The letter Y is rare in Hungarian call signs and the same applies to the letter K in Ukranian call signs. But that doesn’t mean they are not te be found:

K1IEE worked HA8YA and UT0EK.

RW3AI worked HA7VY, UT0EK, UX5VK and US5EEK.

G3JFS worked EN1KM.

Soapbox:

K1IEE
For sure this was one of the demanding challenges. I listed the names in the order that I finished them. Operated mostly on 10M and 15M during the 1200UTC time period. Thanks to all 73 Dick

PA0XAW
This one was difficult, just 2 out of five! Missed one letter for France (C) and one for Ukraine (N). Ah well, next time better;

G3JFS
A difficult challenge to complete. Propagation into Europe was not good and I got off to a slow start as both my xyl Sheila and I had a serious bout of influenza. It took me 2 weeks to work the above stations. I made no progress after that as I spent the latter part of the month in hospital recovering from a heart attack. I am recovering well and hope to be back taking part in the challenges before too long.
I ended up with 4 letters missing from Hungary, 2 from Ukraine and 1 each from the others. As for the ‘rare’ ones – EN1KM was worked on the 2nd; HA8FY was heard several times but was too weak to work.
